How do I download plus.rtl.de TV shows?

First of all hello

I am pretty new to this community and had no idea what is coming

I am basically looking for a way, to download videos, on plus.rtl.de

They already have a DRM system, which I couldnt reverse engineer. I ended up on this forum for some help.

What have I tried? Well, Screen Recording with OBS... horrible. Then I found out WidevineProxy2 and there is already my problem. It's not detecting?

You really should search the forum for plus.rtl.de, it's described more than once what you can do. Having said that:

- Widefrog (pinned as a sticky thread) has support for plus.rtl.de
- Pay attention to the needed patch (patched file is attached there) in #415 (https://forum.videohelp.com/threads/414548-drm-free-content-batch-downloader-widefrog/...14#post2772701)
- Find yourself a CDM -> you should try using one of these: https://forum.videohelp.com/threads/417425-Real-Device-L3-Cdms
- And: if you aren't familiar with using a Python app: make yourself familiar with.

Using Widefrog is crucial as it can automatically select 1080p versions here, whereas WidevineProxy2 won't find any, if you don't have a RTL+ subscription. If you want to keep using WidevineProxy2 (recommended!) you should also switch to using a local CDM.

Thank you very much! I made Widefrog work, the only issue I have now is, that I need a VPN which works. Mullvad as of now, does not work

Edit: I tested it and downloaded a Podcast, works like charm! And F windows, on Linux, it works like charm. Can recommend it to everyone

Next step, get a trial lol and download all the shit my GF needs

I checked the specified page with Vineless and the remote CDM seen in screenshot. It successfully got keys, even though for SD resolution.

I think the actual issue is that the remote.json example has wrong CDM name. It should be "public", not "CDRM".

My current issue is, if I download it with widefrog, it can't start, since the VPN is detected

Via the Firefox Extension, it downloads the video, but not the audio. It just stops downloading at 99% missing one file or smth
And if I try to merge it, with ffmpeg, it gives me error...

So i have N_m3u8DL-RE and then I choose the audio and quality. It downloads, but this damn audio is not working. Trying to merch is just shit

Its frustrating, but a lesson.

Any help would be much apricated
