  1. hi, i was wondering if someone could help me with a problem. i downloaded a movie that i thought was vcd but when i extracted the movie, i was left with a movie clip that will play on my computer, but i need to know how to convert the movie clip to a bin/cue file or something where i can burn it to a cd to play in my dvd player. i am not sure what file ext. avi. cdi.,mpg. it is. any help would be greatly appreciated.

  2. Hard to say without knowing the format.....AVI will need to be reencoded. If you downloaded it and they said it was VCD then it it probably MPEG-1. You can use Nero, Select the VCD option in the Wizard, Accept the defaults, add your file to the image and burn it.

    To find out what kind of file it is, right click on it in explorer and click properties, you should be able to see the extension at that point. YOu can turn on "Show extensions for know file types" in explorer to see them without clicking properties. You can enable this in TOOLS>OPTIONS>VIEW.

  3. open the file in virtualdub then click on file info to see what the file is then follow the convert guide for your particular type of file on this site.
