No, one will play after the other but they will not be joined.
use a program like vcdcutter if you want to join them. You can find it on the tools page of this site.

  3. errrr...i'm assuming you're gonna burn the .mpgs as (S)VCD w/ nero? sincerely, hope you don't plan on burning them as regular data cds...

anywayz, when you use the (S)VCD template in nero, you can add as many .mpg files on each cd-r as you like, as long as total is under 800 MB or 80 min CD-R and 750 MB for 74 min CD-R....they will end up being avseq01.dat (or avseq01.mpg for SVCD) and aveseq02.dat (or avseq02.mpg for SVCD)....so 2 separate files w/ a 5 sec delay in between (dvd player will pause 5 secs at the end of file 1 before automatically playing file 2)

to answer your question, no...the two mpg files won't become 1 big file....however, you can join them together into 1 big file (just make sure there are no audio sync problems after you make the join)
