Baldrick, what about other languages

Hi Baldrick,

Well, i have a little suggestion for the main parts of the site. I speak three languages, and often, when I redirect friends to vcdhelp.com, they say it won't help them anyways because they don't understand english.

I propose you put links to a translated page in the main and most important pages on the site. (WHAT IS and HOW TO sections)

I can help you by translating some sections in french on my freetime, if you tell me you agree and what to start with. I'm sure other people who speaks other languages may want to help in translating to other languages like spanish, german, italian... etc..

Apart of that, I just want to tell you that you made a GREEEAAAATT job with VCDhelp.com, and I'm sure everybody will agree with me. It's now a reference for me...

Keep up the good work, and I think asking users in the forum for help with some things (eg. translation) may save you a lot of work, and many people will be happy to help you just as you're helping us with your site

PS: Just a question that doesn't have any relation: Are you satisfied with PHPBB? Ease of installation, customization, and maintenance?

I have thought about translating the site many times but never decided what to do...it requires some redesigning and also some php coding because for example if I change one link somewhere I don't want to change it in every language page. And as you mention is the what is and the how to sections kinda easy to translate, all the comments lists and the forum could you translate but then you would have to separate comments and posts for each language.


Latest phpbb works very good, easy installation and kinda simple customizing but I have changed a lot in the php code to make it look like this.
