I've been trying to restore many full tapes which contain a mix of anime footage and live action commercials.
For field processing, TFM() is producing a great result for the animation.
However I need advice on how to best process the live-action segments. I have uploaded a sample of the video which contains both the animation and the live action. Any experts here could advise on best approach? Ideally I would like to split a video tape containing 12 episodes into 12 individual processed videos. Within each video the commercials are included too.Code:# TFM (TDecimate) video_org_tfm=video_org_crop.TFM(order=1) #.TDecimate()

Just as complement, the TFM approach we applied is a basic filtering; the best would be to identify the field pattern in the animation and apply the proper decimation (if applicable).
In addition, OP wants the "commercial" sequence being part of the final outcome, so it should be processed to keep the same framerate as the "animation" part (or the other way around), I see it difficult...
