  1. I have read around the place that the PS2 does not play DVDr properly when the video has been converted from VCD, mpeg1 or in my case AVI. I have burnt plenty of DVD 2 DVDR and they all play perfectly but not these ones. Anyone have any idea why or suggest what I coudl do different.

    This is what I did.
    1. used tmpgenc to encode video only as dvd pal
    2. used tmphenc to encode audio only.
    3. used spruceup to author!

    Works a treat in computer and I think it will work ok in normal dvd player.

  2. OK can confirm that it plays OK in a normal DVD player. ANy ideas as to why the PS2 would have this issue??

    doesn't seem PS2 very good for playing anything else but games...and maybe retail DVDs

    you can simply get a standalone dvd player ... apex has been selling for $65 i believe
