what does "banned" mean written under the username?

Hi,
I noticed that under some usernames there it says "banned" "member" etc. Does this literally mean that this user is banned or is there some other meaning to this?

It's what is written on the tin.

Yet it seems that cartain individuals will not accept that they are not welcome here (for whatever reason and no names mentioned) but they immeditaley re-register (sometimes on the very day they are banned)

Oh okay, good to know. I was waiting for a reply, but the person was banned one day after they started to helping me out. The only person which could help me with my glsl shader issue. I guess this is bad luck ^^'

That is bad luck.

That particular former member did have a warning from admin some weeks ago due to attitude issues so, possibly, overstepped the mark again.

Yeah butterw could probably help but he also disappeared since Febraury ^^'
I guess the glsl scene burns out people ^^

It means what it says. Yeah that guy was a pain for everyone here, I was not aware until I read this.
