  1. I'm trying to convert an avi to an mpg movie file. The problem is that when i open the avi in TMPGenc it has an initial fps of 60. So i try to convert it to an mpg pal 25fps. When trying to burn it on a vcd, nero tells me its not suitable for a vcd (bitrate incorrect). I burned it to test it out. But it plays on my standalone dvdplayer (philips 751) the first 5 seconds and then slowly comes to a halt. What can i do to convert it to a correct vcd compliant mpg (bitrate, fps,,,??). Can someone please help me out.

  2. What is the message that Nero gives you when it says it's not compliant? Knowing that would help.

Otherwise, you might try opening one of the TMPGEnc templates for VCD and using that. These presets should provide a compliant VCD.
