  1. Hi,
I am a VCD novice. I know nothing. Speak to me as if speaking to a child. I want to be able to play quicktime files on my dvd player. I understand that I must first convert these files to mpeg1or2. What I don't know is how to do this. I need to know what software (free if possible) i need to out the files on a VCD and then on to my DVD player. Here is what I have in terms of hardware. Please try and give me a simple way to put files on a VCD so I can watch them on the DVD player.
    I have a:
Panasonic US dvd player model: A110 (that should read cdr)
    I have a HP cdr-rw burner.

    PLease help if you can
    thanks-BSR

  3. To convert the quicktime file you will need a program called RAD video tools. This is available from the TOOLS section of this site. Read the help files in the program to find out how to convert to MPEG. Then click on the AUTHOR section of this website to find out the rest.

  4. I found out that my DVD player does not support CD-R. It does not say that it doesnt support CD-RW though. Is there a way I can fool it into player a CD? It says in the manual that it does not support cd-rom, so does that rule out any possibility of VCD?
    thanks-BSR
