  1. Everytime I think I am able to back my data up successfully, I then decide that I'm not 100% convinced I am getting good results. It seems that Record Now Max gives me the best results using the wizard, but the finished DVD isn't readable in a Pioneer or EPO DVD-Rom drive (But it does read in my A03). The problems I have been experiencing were with the last couple of files on the DVD, particularly when they are large files such as Divx movies. This happened on DVD-R and DVD-RW and it happened all the time so I know it wasn't dodgy media, although it was worse on Princo. Maybe it is to do with the UDF version that RecordNow Max uses, I don't know.

My question is, which software and settings are best to backup data to a FULL DVD-R. The problems seem to occur more when I fiil the whole. Should I use ISO-9660 or UDF or a combination?
Any ideas as why the files towards the end (even on a good quality DVD-RW) are unreadable?
Should it make any difference whether the DVD-R is full or not?
    Do long filenames matter?
Is it because they are divx movies?
Why do the drives take ages to initialise / read the contents of the disc (icons loading etc)
I would like them to read in my DVD-Rom as it is much faster than the A03

    PHEW!
Any suggestions / comments would be apreciated!
    Thanks!

  2. Hello :)
I have the same problem with my pioneer A04 :(
WHen i burn divx on a maxell dvd-r , one of the 7 divx is corrupted and i can't read it.
If i burn this same corrupted divx on a new dvd-r i can read it but an other divx is corrupted on the new dvd-r :(((
i burn with gear dvd pro 6 and discjuggler 4.1 963 pro.
I think that the problem would be the burn mode, I'm gonna test some other modes to find a solution...
if I find the issue, i'll have you know... I hope you will do the same for me
    thanks C u soon

Its likely a problem with your media... alot of the cheap media get farked up at the end of the disk. Near the end of the disk the data tracks are more dence and the cheap disk have problems there. Try a apple disk and I'll be it will work. I've also had decent luck with the ESbuy disk, wish I knew what their disk brand REALLY was cause I doubt they really are making their own...
