Hi! I author lots of DVDs for my costumers, when the costumer authorizes I
keep a copy in case the costumer wants more copies in the future, now the problem
is cluttering.. I have lots of spindles everywhere, and I have backup drives that go bad.
I was looking at BD recording as an alternative, in a 25GB BD-R I can fit a lot of DVD ISOS right?
Can I use a program like NERO Burning Rom to burn the files?
and finally do you know of a good BD-R writer? thanks a lot guys!
-Peace!

LG read commercial BD-ROM (commercial release Blu Ray movies) discs slower than their BD-R rating because they treat BDMV files differently (4.8x vs 8x)

You can put multiple DVD iso's on a blu ray disc, just put them in a folder or folders like a suggested for a multiple dvd blu ray data disc
Look for any good name brand BD Burner other than LG for the reason I already mentioned, besides newgg, zipZoomFly, and Tiger Direct are good reputable online retailers w/ competitive pricing
or try a high rated Amazon retailer
ps. i also use Verbatim disc almost exclusively for DVD, CD, and Blu Ray

Why not use hard drives for backup of ISOs?
Less expensive in terms of cost/GB , don't need a BD-R burner, probably more reliable, less clutter
With the cost savings you could have multiple drives with multiple copies for extra security -
I don't use ISO's that often, but I assume if you add them to a data disc, ('Write files/folders to disc' in EZ-Mode Picker) ImgBurn will burn them as data and ignore the ISO container designation. Don't use 'Write image file to disc' or it will just let you use one. If it has a problem, it will usually tell you and suggest a solution.

Thanks, Ive been doing backups in HDD too but it fills up fast and also it can crash... with BD-R I can burn as many as id like too
Thanks for your replies, Ill check in other stores other than newegg since its already out of stock there.

I think the business model is flawed. Most customers can copy their own discs. I'll teach mine how to copy their own discs. As you're finding out, storing the discs is a hassle, and your ROI is negative long-term.

Ill start to store them for 1 year(optional), that's part of the contract they'll sign from now on, still I have costumers that order a few copies over 1 year that's an extra income tho.
