Converting Dvd to Quicktime format?

Is there a way to convert a dvd to quicktime format? I know I probably would first have to rip the dvd, but what do I do after that?

any reason on why you would wanna convert to quicktime? i don't think there are any standalone quicktime players, so you wouldn't be able to watch the movies on your TV (unless u use TV-OUT through your vid card..but you can do that w/ divx too and divx is much better than quicktime)

and quicktime surely doesn't have better quality than divx or SVCD....so just wondering...
