  1. Hello. I tried in every way to extract the original posterframe-thumbnail from this video.
    Some test screenshots:

I would like to download the original image and not the resized image.

Could any of you help me? Thanks all of you.

  2. (I looked at the network transfer,...)
    Code:
    https://www.ardmediathek.de/img?imwidth=2560&url=https%3A%2F%2Fapi.ardmediathek.de%2Fimage-service%2Fimages%2Furn%3Aard%3Aimage%3Ae0dbc685a2b7ad98%3Fw%3D%7Bwidth%7D%26ch%3D65895a466b17ba1d
I suspect the attached 1920x1080 version is the original, since it seems to be the largest version they seem to serve.
Or it's just a restriction on their media server, usually there is no way to request the 'original' when images are served by scripts,..

Super Thanks Selur ! Please could you tell me how did you do it? I ask because I would like to download more photos. If I open the link you wrote, it brings me an error page.

  4. I looked into the 'Network'-tab (you can see the tab in you second image ) reloaded the page, sorted by type looked at all the image formats to find the one that retuned the image.
Then I copied the link and looked at it to see that the url called the image-service while giving it a target width (imwidth).
Then I tested a few different values and noticed that 1920x1080 is the largest image served. (I expected at least HD or 4k resolution, so that the image would still look decent when viewed full screen on a modern displays.)

  5. In the broweser's Developer Tools (F12), on the Network tab, find the line with the image, right click on it, and select Save Image As.

  6. @jagabo: depending on the screen resolution, the image might be smaller, so checking the URL might be a good idea.

I used "Edit and Resend" and got the image. You are right, I tried with 2560(px) but it only finds 1920. I learned a new thing, thanks.
