I see online, companies that will convert your old 8mm film to digital, upscale it to 1080
And put it on a hard drive, and a DVD in SD.
Does this actually work ? Or are they just ripping you off ?
And when I say 8mm, I mean the ones on a real that goes through a projector.
I would like them cleaned and hopfully dust and scratches / artifacts removed.
Is there hopevfor having that done ? And maybe a suggestion of where ?
The one I do see is mymovietransfer.com

You see them online, ergo this works.
You can make your own scanner, there are many videos on YouTube about it, like this, for example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yStZmqdWDLA
