Any Adobe premier experts ?

I want to do something VERY simple.

I open a clip

I want to EXPORT that clip to video tape

I am in TV mode

I do all the settings , click EXPORT CLIP, VIDEO, etc

I get the FULL SCREEN mode I ask for but only get sound !! I sometimes get a brief flash of pictire at startup and ONE time did actually get it to play. Haven't seen it since !! HELP

My VIdeo card is an ATI AIW 128 Pro

How tough can this be ???? LOL

hmm.. not an expert but I'm wondering. What are your project
settings and how short is your clip?

Project is this

I have a 780 by 640 AVI created with Video factory. Reason I am using premier is because I have had such poor results with just straight output with my ATI card. Used ATI player, zoom player. Tried monitor at 640 by 480, 800 by 600, etc. Problem I get is poor quality and black borders..ugg.

Anyway, I have premier. Set premier to export as if it were DV (as it says in instructions) but use Print to VIDEO . In other words


Project settings
DV playback, 29.97

[b]Playback settings</>
Playback on DVcamcorder/VCR
Playback on desktop
Render scrub output...
All checked
Video compressor, all that stuff just left alone and is fine

I get to open the AVI
I then click
FILE
EXPORT CLIP
PRINT TO VIDEO

a box comes up...I tell it delay 10 seconds (so you can hit start on VCR) and fullscreen

I click OK

I get a BLACK full screen and after 5 seconds I hear the music ( I also get a QUICK video flicker) and the music plays but no video.

If I hit esacpe, I see the movie was playing fine in the CLIP window. UGGGG

Any thoughts ? I can't even do it in NON-MONITOR mode. But as I said 1 time and 1 time only, I did see it...Looked great. I said Okay , this will work. Escaped so I could get my tape all set, tried again..NOTHING.

Is your video and audio rca jacks both connected to the video card in the right slots? Is the yellow one used for video. White rca will not work for the video jack.

ARe you printing a premiere project?
Usually if a project is open you can print it no problem.
Make sure it is saved.

No ...I have ATI video out (yellow) to VCR. I have audio out from audio card because thats how ATI works unless you have a special SP/DIF plug nonstandard.

I get sound, but no picture on my computer monitor or VHS. UGGG

I would think It would at least display to my computer screen ..It sends itself into FULL screen mode, just black.

does your VHS have the correct input selected. I know when I remord for video camera to vhs I have to press input select on the remote to change the input, then I can see the video

Nope..set for INPUT (blue screen) ..The key here is I get NOTHING on my monitor display and that should have picture FIRST....
