Hello, I have a multiple RAW MiniDv files and want to joint but create chapters with the date information I have with the file, them QTGMC and H265, I can make qtgmc with hybrid and joint with avidemux BUT the problem is: How create the chapters information? may be the best option is create this in the begging because I have the raw file joint by days.

I have 1 week reading the forum looking for that...

  2. For the last step (Chapters creation and insertion) you can use clever FFmpeg-GUI.

This is done without reencoding, so there is no loss of quality.

Create your final video (qtgmc + join) and note the exact times where the cut points are (eg.
    00:12:01, 00:27:48, 00:59:14 etc).

Then load your video into clever FFmpeg-GUI, click main, click chapters,
    (1) Enter the first time at Start Time, the desired chapter title at Title, then click Add (2), repeat everything for all times, when all times are entered, click Create Chapters (3).
You can then edit/change your chapters if desired.

Then click Activate, Chapters activated will be displayed, click main, click multiplex, select the desired container (mkv, mp4 etc) and click multiplex.

    Done.
You will find your newly created video with chapters in the destination folder.

    Your OS is Windows?
Do you get an error on starting clever FFmpeg-GUI?
Then install Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2012 Update 4 first.
