    Back in black...

    Hey now -
I bought a used desktop years ago that had Vegas Pro 10c already loaded on it. I was editing a movie I shot in HD that had a zillion clips put in it's folders. I saved everything including the software on an external HDD backup and recently transferred everything to my new box. However, VP10 won't run anymore. Windows 7 can see the project files and clips but they're all mixed up and out of their folders.

How do I get the media folders off?

PS - Reading up on this, articles are saying to use Vegas Pro software....eh? No scheiza...
I don't even think you could use a trial of this old unsupported software.

  2. I would trial a later version but then again those later versions may not work on Win 7.

On the page linked to below you can find a download link for Vegas 10.0e. I would make sure I have the software key before attempting to do an (re)installation.

That trial link just sends some lame newsletter valued at $15?
    Why am I not surprised?
The HDD may be bricked...but I still see video data from VS10 somehow

If you scroll down the page you will see the link to download Vegas Pro 10. It actually downloads from the Magix download center. I just downloaded the file myself.

If you continue to have issues let me know. Perhaps I can get the file to you.

I did the exact same thing...scrolled down, filled a form, and got some BS newsletter coupon

I've all sorts of drives laying around here with Win XP, Win7, Win10.
    I have VP10...just can't open/register/trial it after transferring to a SSD.
Now trying to repair the boot of the VP10 XP disk.

Everything's backed up so it 's more of an annoyance.
This may be an exercise in futility...but very challenging.
    Next stop, Linux
