  1. **Mods: if this belongs in the Video Conversion section, feel free to move it.

After a series of crushing personal events, I need a diversion. Looking to convert several dozen VHS tapes to digital for editing and general clean-up. I have several adequate Windows 10 machines as well as this hardware:

Snazzi III USB 2 (freestanding unit)
    ADVC-100 (freestanding unit)
ATI Radeon 7200 32MB AGP TV Tuner Video Graphics Card
Asus Combo-210E PCI-E TV Tuner Card

Is there one of these items that is best/easiest for digitizing old VHS tapes?? In a previous life I did some of this sort of thing but for practical purposes, it's like starting over.

Thank you for any advice, whether regarding hardware or software.

I hope your project proves to be a helpful distraction.
Methinks some here will also want to know what your VHS machine is, and if you have it on a surge suppression battery backup, and any time base correction at your disposal.

Good point. The VHS machine is nothing special; it has S-video out as well as the usual three RCA out plugs. I can get ahold of a surge suppression battery backup. No time base correction in anything I have here.
