  1. I was encoding my 101th svcd movie, the computer started to beep, since the encoding was not finished yet, I couldn't turn the computer down and it died after about ten minutes later. I couldn't turn it on again. It is still under warranty, I sent it in for repair. Anybody's computer died due to encoding?

  3. What a coincidence, my computer died also yesterday evening.

I have done lots of X/S/VCD with it.

The last thing I did was to bring up Nero trying to burn an audio CD.
It complaint that one of the .WAV file does not have the right frequency. I fixed it, bring up Nero again and everything go South from there.

I try to restore my system drive by booting from the PQDI floppies (with the backup CD-R I made), the PC crashed anytime it starts accessing the CD writer !!!
