Playing VCD'S On Stand Alone Player

Need help all, Please.
Ok I'm burning mpg vcd's with Nero. using it's vcd templet, I go to
play it in my Philips DVD953 home player & it plays for a minute then it will just freeze up on me. Any Ideas what is up with this?
I have the new Nero I'm burning on a read write at 4x I just can't
figure out what is up. It is doing this with just about all the VCD & SVCD'S I burn. I have had some success with a few so I know my player will play them. Please Help.

Have you tried differnt brand of media? or tried a cdrw?

Yeah I sure have, Memorex RW worked for me. I think I need to clean the laser on my DVD player. Any ideas on a good wet cleaner? Or should I take it in to get it cleaned?
The dry clean I tried did not seam to do the trick, so I might need to try the wet cleaners, I'm sure they work much better. If that don't work then I don't know what to do. It is playing on my Audiovox portable, So I know the vcd.mpg is good.

Well the Wet Cleaning did no help I did it a couple time's. So I'm not sure if I need to take it to a shop or what. Any more ideas guys??
