I've been doing dvd ripping of my dvd collection. Everything worked for me so far.. until I tried ripping "The Legend" Jet Li's film. I use SmartRipper, DVD2AVI, and TMPNGEnc. The problem is that when playing the video that i ripped on the computer... it stutters throughout the film. I played the dvd movie on my computer and it worked fine. I tried ripping under Win98 and Win2000.. same problem. I tried ripping some other movies afterwards.. and they all worked fine. Just "The Legend" didn't work.. and keep on stuttering in video. Any ideas & workarounds or reason?

Hans,
Thanks for the reply.. where do I deselect the option "detected scene chances"? Which program?
Thanks. -
Well I have the same problem with Crouching Tiger, and I am going to try this technique. The setting is found in Tmpgenc under Settings->GOP->Detect scene changes. I have Tmpgenc beta12, and that is where you find it my version. Try poking around the same area in your version and you'll probably find a similar if not exact option.
Where is the wine the new wine? Dying on the vine. -
I tried the method listed above... turning off the Detect scene changes... and it still does the stuttering all over. =(
Any other ideas? -
by the way, this stuttering seems to have started even before using dvd2avi!!! is this some sort of macrovision?
