    i'm new to this board, and new to dvd ripping in general. bear with me?

    anyway, i have a few questions to ask, the main one listed in the subject line of this post: namely, how do i rip ONLY the audio from a dvd?

    two, i have a 25 minute capture i have to edit in premiere and my hardware isn;t exactly perfect, so i was wondering what MINIMAL settings i could employ to have a moderately good looking file under 700 mb?

    help me help me asap;
    my contact info's in this profile...

    Use Smartripper, select STREAM PROCESSING and click on the audio file you want to save, then check "DIRECT STREAM COPY" (or something like that) over on the right.

    You will get only that audio file (but a bunch of other 0 length files - just delete these).
