  1. Hello, I have a problem with the sync of an audio.

I have one video from dvd and another one of a bluray. Both have the same frame rate 23,976fps, the only difference it's the blu ray have black cuts between some scenes more longer than the dvd, so the final time it's like 15 secs of difference.

I know how sync manually, but its a pain in the eyes, in addiction I'm trying to sync a tv show, so this problem its in each episode...

Somebody have any idea or suggestion to try to sync more easily?

I tried with audacity splitting, moving, but its too slow and it's no easy to detect the waves differences...

    thanks

  2. Where is the audio file coming from? Is it from one of the discs? i.e. video from one disc and audio from the other.

If the difference were at the beginning or the end of the file that would've been easy to edit, but for a changing position within the file I don't know of any automatic way to do it. I usually do this kind of stuff in VDub.

I wanna use the audio from the dvd and put into the video of the bluray.

I.e: the video have a duration of 44:23 and the audio have 44:13, those 10 seconds it's because the transition scenes have a difference of duration (dvd: 1 sec and br: 2 secs)

  4. Realistically, your best, fastest way is to do it manually.

Even if you were to use something like PluralEyes to automatically sync, you would still have to manually cut the files into pieces at the breaks, import them them into PluralEyes, let it do it's syncing, and export it.

Faster to slice the file, slide it into place matching the waveform visually, and export. It's not particularly hard and you're working with large chunks.
