I recently got a Sony Xperia 5. It has a TV app, and has an option to record TV, like a DVR. But, you have to watch it vertically, so it squeezes the show into like a 1/3rd of the screen. It's an awful way to watch TV.
I found the video files I recorded and it saves it as several .ets files. There are multiple audio tracks and some subtitle tracks, which are saved as .mma and .mmo, respectively.
Does anyone know anything about converting these files over to a watchable format, like MP4? I'm not familiar with .ETS files, but I thought maybe someone else has some experience with something similar.
Then again, maybe it's a Sony proprietary format and there's nothing I can do. Either way, thanks for the help.

I would guess that you have some "Encrypted Transport Stream" here to protect the licenses of the broadcasters. Decrypting would require to know the encryption algorithm and keys used by the application (possibly bound to your account?). But don't rely on my guess...

That's exactly what it is. Thank you very much.
I guess I'm out of luck for now. Japanese TV sucks anyway, so I guess I won't worry about it. I searched the forums, but couldn't find anything about it, so I'm glad you were able to find it.
Thanks again.
