I created a .mp4 with Videopad from a dvd with an introductory menu. The mp4 had 5 minutes of intro screen (menu) and about 5 seconds of the the second chapter.
How do I get around this problem?
Much obliged!

DO you want only the main movie?
If it's commercial DVD, did you take the possible copy protection into account? -
Thanks, I want only the first chapter (of two). No, this is not a commercial DVD.

If it's not an encrypted disk, a simple file/folder copy will work.
What is the mac equivalent of Windows Explorer ?
It *may* work if you access the DVD directly, usually it's better to copy it first -
With y'alls help I did some educated stumbling into the solution! Knowing the Video_TS\vob files contained the video information, I just dble-clicked them until Voilà! I found the chapter I needed. Happy Camper!
Thanks.
