    I'm taking a long airplane trip to Europe. I have a pair of standard earphones that plug into the rear of my PC desktop. Is there any adapter that will enable me to plug them into my Ipad for sound?
    I have a pair of bluetooth ear plugs, but the sound is tinny and the aircraft background sounds come through also. So thought I'd ask.

    If your ipad doesn't have a headphone jack you'll need a USB3 to headphone jack adapter.

    Depends on the vintage of your ipad. If it has the Lightning socket, you'll need a Lightning to 3.5mm adapter like this.

    If your ipad has a USB-C socket, then yes, as Jagabo pointed out.
