i have some .sup files which i want to convert to .srt, but I dont care about the text, only the timestamps. What is the fastest method to batch convert these files? (right now im using subtitle edit)

I don’t have any SUP files on my system but see if this method works.
Drag your SUP file onto SubtitleEdit.
Select the Tesseract OCR method (Upper left hand corner of new window)
Uncheck all the ‘OCR auto correction/spell checking’ options (Right hand side of new window)
Then > Start OCR
When the OCR process is complete Select ‘Tools’ from menu bar then
‘Make new empty translation from current subtitle’.
If it works then save it as you wish.
If the format isn’t quite what you want you want then open the file in MS Word.
Select everything.
Select ‘Insert’ from the menu bar and click on the down arrow under ‘Table’
Select ‘Convert text to table’
Adjust the column number to 4, see what happens.
Delete the columns you do not want and save.
I tried this with SUB file of IDX/SUB subtitle but of course the timings are in the IDX file which you do not have.
It’s just a stab in the dark.
Good luck -
Open .sup file with subtitle edit. No need to do anything , just press ok and save as subrip.
