I use an iMac computer. I have an open reel tape deck (plus cassette tape deck and turntable). I would like to make a compact disc (CD) of an irreplaceable open reel tape. I’m wondering what would be a good method to use. I have a Canopus ADVC 100 that can convert analogue video. Would that be useful for this? I’ve got iMovie and Roxio Toast Titanium 18 and Garage Band software in the computer. Are those relevant? Is there other hardware or software that would be more appropriate for my project that I ought to have? Are any of you able to outline the method for me. Please note: I’m NOT well acquainted with even slightly advanced computer or audio visual instructions or jargon. I’m not stupid, but I’m out of my field in this matter.
