Sony DVP-S530D problems or not ....

I have an odd problem, I have the above Sony DVD Player, I have made several VCDs & they would not work on my player ( I used those CDRs from Circuit City as recomended )
However they did work on my friends player that is the same as mine, same model etc. his was purchased later on but it is the same thing.
Any ideas?
By the way they worked on his 5 disk changer also.

Hi,

I have the same DVD that you have. I used to have a problem running DVD's line C13 error frequently. I had a protection policy so they did change something and since then it's working fine.

It only recognise CD-RW. I have not tried with CDR's though.

I have made couple of VCD or XSVCD where ever you might call, those are running very fine. Without any problem.
