I bought a new Full HD PC that was the same size as my old HD, 15.6 inches. There is no comparison between the two, also because my old one is a 2014 office / studio PC, the new one is a gaming OMEN. I noticed one thing that is a fact: 480p videos are worse on the new PC than on the old one. The quality of the monitor (8-bit 144 fps) is so perfect that it manages to point out all the imperfections of the videos in 480p. Is there any way to improve the quality of YouTube videos? I have already tried to activate the AV1 codec, but I don't notice significant improvements. I installed the Enhancer for YouTube extension and set the blur to 2. Thus, the imperfections on 480p videos seem to be mitigated, but I am forced to remove the filter on any HD video. Is there a real deblocking for YouTube?
