  1. I finally learned how to use X265 but I wanted to have audio too, so I was trying avs2pipe. I seem to be missing a Y4M header it tells me? Here is my script:

    C:\Users\Owner\Documents\avs2pipemod-1.1.1\avs2pipemod.exe "test.avs" -rawaudio |"C:\Users\Owner\Downloads\x264_launcher.2019-10-05\toolset\x86\x265_x86.exe" --input-res 1920x1080 --fps 23.976 --crf 23 --pools 1 --output "test.hevc" --input - --y4m

Unless you've gotten some modified build of x265 which supports both audio input and MP4 or MKV output, that's not possible. The "normal" builds of x265 are video-only.

  3. Oh yes, I know that. I just assumed that avs2pipe could generate the audio, and then serve as a muxer.
