  1. I am using InterVideo WinDVR to do my capturing with a Hauppage WinTV GO PCI card. I have tried several adjustments and can't get the ringing out of the audio and it is VERY loud when playing back on my DVD player. I tried turning down the audio on WinDVR but that didn't change the volume in the recording, nor did it remove the ringing. Any help would be appreciated. BTW I have tried using FlaskMPEG's audio filter, and also TMPGenc's audio filter and neither one will remove the ringing. The audio quality seems to be really bad, but I think that has to do with the volume that it is recorded at. Anyhelp is appreciated.

    Thanks

  2. Try right-clicking on that little speaker icon in the system tray.

Open Volume Controls - Options - Properties - Recording - OK

Adjust that line-in slider and do a test capture. Adjust as necessary.
As Churchill famously predicted when Chamberlain returned from Munich proclaiming peace in his time: "You were given the choice between war and dishonor. You chose dishonor, and you will have war."

  3. ok I believe that helped with the volume issue, but I still have the ringing. I am pretty sure that it is an issue with interference, but is there a way to get rid of the ringing post recording.

  5. Well I am now using VirtualDUB and it seems to help a little bit with the audio problems but the ringing is still there a little bit. I might try the groundloop eliminator thing that was on that other post. I am not sure, right now I am progressing in the right direction so that is good!!!
