  1. ok when i convert a divx movie in mpg, why is it that it is alwasy blocky?? also there are sometimes lines around the people..
    is there anyway i can fix this?
    i tried using that one disc vcd method posted on vcdhelp.com and everything works find but i always comes out blocky? i think i need help with the bitrate because i dont know what to put....
    i tried everything but nothing helps............please help me soon thanks! :wink:

    a lot will depend on your source...remember: garbage in=garbage out
    if your source is good, maybe the movie is too long, and therefore you're lowering the bitrate so much to fit on one CD that you are sacrificing your quality. you could always try some filters(soften block noise)

    If your movie is a dvd rip avi then the quality should be real good-you do loose quality on the one disc conversion.

    If your movie is TS or CAM avi. Then you will get the blockiness-been there done that
