IMO There is no attached bias from the deletion of the posts which has zilch to do with these forums other than a personal attack to a member here whose activity elsewhere has nothing to do with the day-to-day running of these forums.

For what it's worth, 2Bdecided has his own VideoHelp account with that same avatar and username. I see little similarity between the two (DB83 and 2Bdecided), other than location and having joined in the same year. Their interests and writing styles are a bit different.

1) As lordsmurf already explained to the culturally-deprived and to the ADHD people as well:

Ignore lists usually work by hiding post contents, but not the presence of a post.
And there's often a link to view each post anyway.

2) For me it's difficult to NOT click on the "view post" link when I already know that the trollish troll hunter was paid by we-already-know-who to try to invalidate anything I say against we-already-know-who.

I definitely agree that benefiting from an ignore list requires a fair amount of self discipline.

If you are unable to avoid reading posts by people on your ignore list, that is unfortunate, but if you can rarely remain silent after reading those posts no matter how hard you try, then you might as well drop the pretense of maintaining an ignore list since it is doing you no good.
