I'm completely new with VSDC and need a little help.

I shot some video with my iPhone and synced it to my Win 10 PC and iPad. I do this by moving the file (video or photo) from the camera folder to an album after it's synced on the PC. I then resync and the video/photo is in the appropriate album on the iPad/iPhone.

Recently I wanted to simply remove the audio from one of the videos and found VSDC. I started a project, loaded in the video, removed the audio and saved the project as a .mov. I can see and play the video with any of the "regular" Win programs and the audio is removed.

However, this file does not sync when I sync with iTunes.

I then tried saving as a .avi, just to see if this would sync. It also does not sync.

Any guidance into what silly mistake I am making is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    VSDC version is 6.3.1.924, iPhone/iPad iOS 12.1

    I hate iTunes.
You may want to do it again, but this time keep the audio....just decrease the volume to zero.
Sometimes you NEED an audio track, even though you cannot hear it.

Thank you for the quick response.

I had tried something similar to your suggestion. I had another video that was oriented 90d off, so I rotated it and saved it (with the original audio untouched). This new file also did not sync.

However, playing around with VSDC, I noticed that there are selector buttons to save files (PC, Web, iPhone/iPad, DVD,...). PC was selected. So, I selected iPhone/iPad. This saved the file as .m4v instead of .mov or .avi (which were options on the PC selection).

For whatever reason, this format worked to sync the files. I find it interesting in that when you record video with your iPhone/iPad the format (as shown on the PC) is .MOV. The .m4v does play on the PC, so I can live with the format.

I have no idea why the "PC"/.mov or .avi files do not sync. But at least I have a workaround.

    Thanks again for the help.

I use a non-Apple app to add music and video to my iPhone. AirDisk Pro.

Thank you for the recommendation. Because of my 60 year old eyes, I prefer the 42" 4k monitor on my PC
