I managed to successfully do it a few months ago but can't figure it out now for some reason. I just got another hi8 camcorder and am trying to back tapes to Honestech 3.0.

I let it record the ~hour an a half and stopped when the tape got to the end, then saved it as a "project" which is a .ilj file. I have no idea how to get it to a different format though. Last time I found a way to save one of the files as a .avi but can't quite remember how to do it now. There's a "merge and save" option but it's whited out if I try to click on it.
