  1. Every Divx film i try to convert to mpeg1 i get an error half way through saying (illegal floating point calculation order).

    Does anyone know what the problem is and how to stop it!!!

    Please help guys!!!!!!!!!

    From what I know this can occur for a number of reasons.
    I had the problem, and that was because of a corrupt .avi.
    On the other hand, I did a quick Search in the forums on 'floating' and came up with a number of threads that you could have use of; try http://forum.vcdhelp.com/viewtopic.php?t=85660&highlight=floating for starters...

  4. It means you have some bad frames in the original file.

    Install DivX Antifreeze; find a link under tools and change in TMPGEnc. under Environmental settings: VFAPI plug-ins: DirectShow Multimedia File Reader priority to 1 by right clicking it and select Higher Priority
