  1. Hi all!
I am recently deal with video conversion. I can try use XSVCD format and make disc with resolution 352X288, 25fps (PAL) with MPEG-2 VBR (1150kbps average, 2520 maximum) using TMPGEnc 2.53. On this site I read about XVCD newgen recomend choose for system MPEG-1 Video-CD (non-standard). Which choice will be better for XSVCD for resolution 352X288, 25fps (PAL) with MPEG-2 VBR? My player is Pioneer-343.
    With kind regards Yury.

according to the compatibility list on this site, your player will play either XVCD or XSVCD with the bitrates you are planning to use. Either should work just fine, although, I've seen on this site some people posting that at lower bitrates like you are using, XVCD would be better than XSVCD.
my advice would be to do both(maybe just a small sample) and see which one looks better. hope that helps
