Is the duration (first dialog to last dialog) the same? Are both based on the same frame rate (slight speed-up)? Are both the same edit (cut scenes or removed scenes)?

  3. First of all thanks a lot for giving of your time and try to help me..
To be more precise Im talking about a TV serie "Apple Tree Yard" S01E03 and E04..

The dialog seems translated well to Swedish from English, but the duration on the srt file is in the begining around 5 sec to late compared to the video, but it than changed during the video....so if I try to adjust in the beginning it will not be correct after some minutes....
Your question of framrate..must say dont know where I can see where its set...but as fare I understand the video and the translation are same edit.

I dont know if the problem is due to the video is HDTV and the subtitle is made in BlueRay....

A tv airing (HDTV) might have the first 63.3 seconds (!) of the episode rehashing what happened in previous episodes, and a title screen at 2:06–2:14, which could be different on blu-ray. Then it is a different edit (the scenes are not exactly the same for HDTV and BluRay). The tv airing may be altered slightly at many points to make it exactly 56mn 55s, to fit in precisely between other programs. So the BluRay subtitles would need a big offset and some extra adjustments at certain points.
