  1. yah im newbie :cry:

    i use this following sofware:

    smartripper 2.41
    DVD2AVI 1.76
    tmpgenc plus 2.5
    nero 5.5.8.0

    i need to kno how to add subtitles if im using the right software, i alrdy ripped it then coverted to DVD2AVI, i jst need to kno how to add subtitles and i dont need chapters or menus only subtitles, and im ripping it to vcd.

    HELP HELP thanks a lot :o

  3. ok well i followed flaskmpeg/avisynth: http://www.vcdhelp.com/dvdtovcdflask.htm but when i load flaskmpeg and goto OPTIONS - SELECT OUTPUT FORMAT -i dont have link to avisynth like according to the guide, also i dont have the profiles listed, i only got default listed under profiles.

    thanks need really help, i want to add subtitles!

  4. buddyr1ce, make sure all the avisynth files are in the root directory of flaskmpeg

    also, as for the profiles...same thing happened with me...basically, just use the default and change the options manually (i.e. resolution should be 480x480 for SVCD)...u may wanna ask some flaskmpeg experts on exactly which settings to choose for VCD or SVCD frameserving to tmpgenc....

    on a side note, i personally prefer to use the vobsub/vdub method...once you have it set up, it should be very easy and routine to use...i only used the flaskmpeg/avisynth method when the vobsub/vdub didn't work (i.e. briget jones's diary) every other time, i've used vobsub/vdub...i think it's a great way to add subs

  5. I like this guide: http://www.doom9.org/mpg/tmpg-main.htm because it takes you through the whole process, and still allows you to use DVD2AVI and TMPGEnc. You'll just need a few more programs to get the subs in, though.
