  1. Hi There,

I use TMPGenc for several months (almost a year) and I never had any problem with it (I was working with win98 SE). At least until I installed Windows XP.

The program still encodes to MPEG-1 with no problems, but when I try to use the MPEG Tools, I get an error (when I cut a movie and finish selecting the splitting point), apparently no harm is done, so I continue to split the movie.

When I play the file in the computer, the video and sound are in sync, but when I try the same movie in the Standalone DVD Player, the sound becomes out of sync.

I tried this with several movies and several setting, and always got the same problem.

Then I tried to use another mpeg cutter (iFilmEdit now called CinePlayer Editor), from this point on I never had any sync problems - the problem is that Cine Player Editor is not free and TMPGEnc is.

After all this my question is:

Are MPEG Tools included in TMPGEnc incompatible with Windows XP Pro?

Is yes, is there any patch for it?

    Thank You

    Pinho
