  1. Anyone familiar with dmMediaConverter? It's a crossplatform FFmpeg frontend (GUI) for Windows, Linux and Mac.

Is it possible to extract just a piece of a video? I made two cut points 20 seconds apart and ended up wth three videos. How do I only end up with one 20 second video in that example? I'd like to just get one of the 20 second segment.

    Thanks.

    Nope.

I usually use avidemux(if it crashes try an older version) to cut several points(set start, stop and press delete) and save as a new video.

Hi, it is not possible, you will get all the parts.
Just delete the ones that you do not need.

You are right....it is not published yet.
You should use the link with GDrive list from the web.
    This one:
    https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/0B1MiTYJef5a9TG9kMC04WWE3YkU?usp=sharing

Note: I have dropped support for Windows XP and Linux 32 bit.
Did you get it? Does it work for you?
    Thanks.

    Yep, it works fine.

Can I add a mirror download to our software page?

Hi, i prefer not. I will update the links on my site.
This way, i still get a chance for someone to purchase the installer version from Amazon...
You could put a link to my site, but i think that you do not want that.
    Thank you.

Ok thanks, but to clarify things, there is no free / paid version it is the same version but if you want an installer for it instead of a zip file then you should buy it from Amazon.
    Thanks again.

  16. I must be stupid. I can't figure out how to use it.

    1) I select Split
    2) I add a file.
    3) I select "Trim" in Split mode.

Now what? How do I play the video so I can see where I want to split? Can I split by I-frame's? I see only still video if I click somewhere in the Time.

Yes, you can only see the screenshot of the cut point. You should add 2 cut points in trim mode and the resulting file will be the one in the middle.
Usually, in a video player you get the rough cut times and here, by using the two sliders you find the exact position for the cut.
