    i want to backup my anime to he-aac audio.

    currently, i'm using || qaac --cvbr 96 --he -- normalize || as suggested by someone.

    is there an optimal setting, or something a lot better. i'm open to any.

    It is better to disable --he mode for --cvbr 96 (--he will be useful to lower 80kbit).
    I myself prefer the more effective TrueVBR mode -V 45 -q 2 = 96kbit.

    hmmm what's your encoder? so just -V 45 -q 2 is good enough for backup? thanks for that

    QAAC. It depends on your ears. Try a new encoder OPUS?
