How do I RIP my DVD to .vob files then to MKV?

Hi. I've noticed that Slysoft AnyDVD no longer exists. I used to use this program to rip my DVD's of any region before using MakeMKV to make those files in to MKV files which were exactly the same quality as the DVD itself.
What software do I use now that does exactly what Any DVD HD did?

I've just found out that buying AnyDVD was pointless because MakeMKV copies the files straight from the disc anyway. What was the point in buying AnyDVD in the first place?!!

AnyDVD HD works on most any new BDs /DVDs while MakeMKV lags a fair bit with the newer disc encryptions.
And it requires regular renewals to keep functioning.

The former SlySoft AnyDVD HD is now called RedFox AnyDVD HD.

Well I'm thinking of buying this DVD (that was released in April 2010) so I can copy to MKV so should MakeMKV be enough?

I'd give it a try. It's old enough that the decryption may be easily available.
