O.k I'm getting somewhere now, i can encode with cce thanks to help from truman.
now... i can rip (smartripper), convert using dvd2avi, use VFAPIConv, and encode in CCE.
What i wanted (i've tried searching on this site) is a good guide for copying an entire dvd, all menues, extras etc etc, where the dvd is too large before re-encoding.
i.e ripping an entire dvd gives .vob, .inf, .bup. go i do cce every .vob file seperately? and will the .inf and .bup files be created automatically when i use primo dvd - and link in together as with the origional?
Thanks in advance
