    Hi there

Been meaning to ask this for quite some time as it has often bugged me but I find it quite hard to explain.

I play a lot of my videos from USB plugged into the TV.

I have noticed that doing it this way that when I playing any video its like it can't handle it when the camera moves left or right. For example someone running across the screen and the camera is viewing them the side and following along its like the TV can't handle this kind of thing and I am unable to see the picture clearly as it looks slightly... blurred? maybe?

Where as if it were normal TV played on the same screen this issue wouldn't happen.

Is it something to do with processing?

Thanks guys and hope you know what I am on about

Maybe provide a short sample of a problem video and a MediaInfo text view of the same video.
It sounds like a problem where the bitrate is too high for the TV to process. What type of USB device are you using? USB hard drive or a USB stick?

Also the make and model of the TV may be helpful.

I think probably the best way of showing you a sample would be to record the video using a phone camera or something.

The TV is a Sony Bravia its one of the latest models.

Yes the video was probably a very high bitrate...

It was run from a USB Memory stick. Quite a high end one too one of those rubber kingston ones.

As for the bitrate I would assume it was high because the documentary was 45 mins and the file size was 9GB and I think its a .MKV file.

If i were to use a HCTV or some kind of hardware media player would this be better at handling such things?

    Thanks

This sounds like a TV hardware problem
A panning scene has to replace very pixel on the screen,
People moving on static background is much less data to decode and refresh
It is not the display , it is the decoding of the video frame to be displayed
You need to use a media player to play the file and send the signal to the TV via HDMI
Your fi!e exceeds the limit the TV can decode
