  1. Just created a vcd from a dvd and it plays fine using power dvd, but when i play it on my standalone player the audio seems to go out of sync.
Could this be a problem with my player. (i.e. cheap and nasty), or have i done something wrong?

  2. yes i did have the same problem and there are just 2 standalone dvd players who can play the vcd/svcd just the way you like it. And the best is the pioneer dv444 (i just bought one)and players from jvc or another pioneer player.

  5. If you have used tmpenc to encode your problem can be easily rectified,
just go to mpeg tools and select simple demultiplex, then remux using xing encoder, it'll take about 15mins, then burn as normal.
    Hey presto no more problems!
