What software to find coloured blocks errors in my TV recordings when on PC

Hi,
I am recording TV to a panasonic Bluray HDD device then copying onto DVD-RAM, then copy that via optical drive (LG) onto PC. Then quickstream fix it in Videoredo, a while ago I noticed the data panel that appears when qsf is done showed red numbers at top, playing the result back saw occasional mess on screen of what I can only describe as multicoloured blocks, about 5mm square in rows across screen. sometimes a few, sometimes many.
The only way to look for these is to use Videoredo and keep dragging the central slider so sort of working my way faster through the entire footage.

I could do with software that plays the video and latches onto these.

What software will spot these ?

meanwhile I think I have isolated the problem to the LG drive that has seen much use of this workflow. Bought a new optical, but current drives twice as slow, bought a bluray, also twice as slow, and extremely slow at copying SD to Bluray disc, 63 mins versus 14 for SD to DVD-RAM.

However today I got the blocks when using an LG from ebay, same era as existing LG, yet so far it had been fine, and it was supposedly unused, though box had been undone and some fingerprints at back, all items bagged still. If it works I dont mind, first instance of blocks again.

Is the TV signal good? No interference, if this is over the air TV?

If it's black/white such as in your screenshot, there are ways to do it in avisynth by detecting color above a certain threshold with conditionfilter() and writefileif() . You run a pass to scan the file and it will output a text list of the frame numbers where the value > some value is detected . But obviously that approach won't work so well if you have normal color content

its via cable and its been fine for many years, the recording on the screen is fine, and played back from dvd-ram disc to tv is also fine. Its not in the transmission. I can recopy the recording to a different disc and sometimes get a good copy to PC. Certainly the three opticals I am trying, up until today, gave fine results from same discs that the old LG managed to corrupt. yet thet LG will play a video movie no problem. Its in the dvd-ram transfer it gets corrupted.
Just started doing it this last month. Cant quite fully nail it down, as to have the ebay new LG do it today is a shock, and then I tried a good recording through the old LG and that was ok also !
some is b/w footage, most is colour.
Also I had it that if Videoredo produced nice black numbers in quickstream fix then all was well, but today I played one through and spotted a few colour glitches , also doing a final save of one with glitches in it also gave me healthy black numbers, yet I knew it was glitched !

So I need a prog that runs the video quickly and indicates such footage has these anomalies.

Try writing direct to a DVD-RW (or DVD+RW) disc rather than DVD-RAM with your Panasonic internal drive.
Otherwise, try copying the file to a USB thumb drive.
