  1. I'm going to start some exercise and fight instructional videos for my youtube channel and looking for suggestions on video editing software (free if possible).
    I'd like to edit the video as follows:
    -Will record the exercises with 2 cameras; one is with a pair of glasses that have a camera in the frame and the other camera will be viewing from the side like normal.
    -Edit to show split screen of both videos at once. If I can't do split screen, I would at least do those screen-ins that so many youtube videos do where they show a second video clip in the corner.
    -I'm not using any of the audio from the original video, but will be doing commentary afterwards with quiet background music. Should I view the original video while using FRAPS to record commentary over it?
    -Be able to highlight body parts and/or draw arrows/lines to emphasize as I explain things in the commentary
    -Add basic text and/or subtitles

    Tried google search but couldn't find a split screen editor.

    Thanks for the help!
    Also, I'm complete newbie at this so nothing super advanced if possible.

  2. Check out this one -> https://www.videohelp.com/tools/AviUtlShould have all the functions your need.
    (Multiple Video positioning and Scaling, Text, simple shapes, loading image files...)

    After you have roughly finished the video part, you may record your whole sound track at once using Audacity or anything that records audio (straight forward but if you screw up a few words, you may need to do the recording again from scratch);
    OR
    Record your speech sentence-by-sentence, than load them into AviUtl and adjust their positions to match the video (more flexible and easy to fix if you mess up a few words)
