not complaining but has LA DTV had these audio problems.
    1. The DTV OTA here in Los Angeles has been good. Lately over the last 2 weeks the L/R audio is out of balance. I'm using a 2 channel stereo receiver through 2 stereo speakers fro L/R. The sound seems to be ok. The right channel is louder than the other. i tried changing the function to the "Tuner" for the FM radio. The FM audio was ok then back to "tape1" function for the DTV audio. The L/R audio was out of balance way over to the right. Anybody else in LA have the same or is it an isolated problem?

    2. some of the DTV OTA audio is overdriven and some are too low. im constantly lowering or raising the audio volume from one channel to the other. Some channels are so overdriven it blasts me away.

Volume controls, volume leveling, and dynamic mode controls on audio receivers exist for a reason. Acceptable volume and dynamic range is a matter of personal preference, both yours and the audio engineer's.

Anyone who expects the volume and dynamic range to be the same from one channel to the next or one TV show to the next be is going to be disappointed.

not complaining. the new digital TV is great.

maybe if using the TV speakers it might not be noticed too much...

i partly agree....oth, just my opinion, sometimes the audio is too loud.....the audio will blast me. amp volume is very low. it's too loud. that's overdrive.
some channels can be too soft. after turning up the amp volume it's still not good. underdrive.

bit-rate can also be a factor with digital feed. its like a PC connection. when the connection is to slow the video and audio can and will have problems.

i could be wrong but i think dynamic control and volume leveling is for loud noises and other loud noises like explosions in the program so it doesn't rock you, the speakers and the room.
the dynamic controls have maybe @0.01 of a second to re-act to the loud noises and keep it down then return to normal mode. i dunno if it levels the general volume from channel to channel.
